Police Searching For Two Suspects After Nassau Teen Pushed Down, Robbed

Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed a Long Island teen after pushing him to the ground and threatening to shoot him.

Nassau County Police were notified of the attack around 9:52 p.m., Saturday, May 16, in Freeport.

According to detectives, the 17-year-old boy was walking northbound on North Grove St. in the vicinity of Randall Avenue when he was allegedly pushed to the ground from behind by two unknown suspects. 

One man placed a hard object on the back of the victim’s head, threatened to shoot him, and ordered him to empty his pockets, police said.

The victim complied and both men fled on foot in an unknown direction with cash and a cell phone. 

The victim was not injured.

Both of the suspects are described as being black males between 18 and 19 years old.
